LOVE Music

We infuse worship with a vibrant mix of traditional hymns, gospel, classical, and culturally resonant music. Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. We would love for you to come sing with us! Our handbell ensemble rehearses on Sundays at noon right after worship! We have everyone from classically trained musicians to folks who have never been in a choir before!

King David danced before the Lord with all of his might, and we strive to do that, too! At Music and Arts Camps, Pentecost, Christmas, and other times throughout the year, we lead the congregation in movement during worship. You never have to sit still here. Come just as you are!

We also have two monthly conversation groups who meet at local restruants: the Faithful Friends meet on 3rd Sundays at Noon, the Golden Group meets on 2nd Tuesdays at 11:00 AM. We also have seasonal classes throughout the year. Walk-ins are always welcome in any of our groups!

Our Children's & Youth groups meet on Sundays at 9:30 AM for learning and fun! Each summer we host a free Music & Arts Camp for the community. We also take part in game, movie, craft, and mission events at our intergenerational fellowship events.

We also provide meals and comfort in times of joy, like weddings, and times of grief, such as memorial services. LOVE Missions

As United Methodists, we know that feeding the hungry is a vital part of our Christian faith. Every week, volunteers from LOVE collect donations from community partners and deliver them to Hearts and Hands of Baytown, our city's largest food pantry, for distribution. We also have a small emergency pantry available at the church.

LOVE the Environment

We are called to be good stewards of the earth. Our City of Baytown Adopt-a-Spot is the grounds surrounding the Sterling Municipal Library. We gather throughout the year to help keep Baytown beautiful by picking up cans, bottles, and occasionally finding a lost earring to turn in! Afterwards we usually go out to eat or go to a splash pad to cool off. We’d love for you to join us as we celebrate the beauty of God's creation.

We have monthly game and movie nights at church. At city festivals we often host a church booth of free crafts, activities, and prayer stations to engage with our neighbors. Come find us at Juneteenth, July 4th, Caribbean Vibes, and Grito Fest. We also host parties like Trunk or Treat and National Night Out at the Church. Check the calendar to see what’s coming up next!

LOVE Worship

We have a friendly team of Scripture Readers who lead us in passages from the Bible on Sundays. We welcome every age, every experience level, and every expression of God’s image among us. Let’s proclaim the good news together; the Holy Spirit is on the move in Baytown! Ushers & Greeters help welcome people and make sure they have everything they need to relax and worship. The Altar Guild keeps our sanctuary beautiful and decorated for each liturgical season. Acolytes bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary with candles. If you’d like to be part of opening the doors wide for everyone to come and worship our great God together, we’d love for you to join our worship teams!

LOVE Everyone

We celebrate that all human beings are of sacred worth and we work for justice and equity in our society. We have an advocacy group called Queerly Beloved who meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM to work for safe spaces for all people around Baytown. We also host studies, events, and mission projects throughout the year. As people of faith, we are called to social holiness in the ways we treat each other.
